JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Account Executive

Department: Sales

Reports to: Vice President Sales - West Region

Status: Exempt

Location: Remote/Field Work- Must live in Arizona or Utah

Position Summary:

Accountable for achieving Annual Sales Plans (existing customer portfolio and new business) within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively cover assigned territory through a productive Call Cycle (30-60-90 Day Call Cycle) to ensure existing customers continue to purchase products at budgeted levels.
  • Work with Vice President to manage and develop strong business relationships with Customers/Accounts.
  • Track inventory management within territory using CRM and partnering with supply chain, including monthly Sales and Stock review, product planning/forecasting, shipping lead-times and returns.
  • Aggressively prospect and acquire New Customers/Accounts by researching and qualifying business opportunities and initiating outbound calls to identified buyers and management and probing prospects to determine needs.
  • Strategically manage the funnel and pipeline of opportunities using the CRM.
  • Work with existing customers to organically grow business through cross-category selling, upselling, increasing order activity and average order size.
  • Add value to relationships by offering solutions and services.
  • Proactively implement business plans to acquire more share of the business.
  • Communicate order status and fulfilment, executing pricing, cash management (invoicing, credits, etc.) and inventory allocation.
  • Continually learning about our extensive product portfolio through company provided training and intellectual curiosity and sharing gained knowledge with prospects and customers alike.
  • Represent our company at Trade Shows and other events.
  • Accountable for the achievement of Expense Budgets. Including T&E, promotional expenses, discounts, rebates, incentives and Trade Shows.
  • To meet deadline dates at all times
  • Achieve Fiscal Sales Plans

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated and professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Outstanding sales and negotiation abilities
  • Highly confident and goal oriented
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and time managements skills.
  • Travel 50% in designated territory as well as out of territory to attend meetings and trade shows.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. For those that do not have Bachelor’s Degree a minimum of 4 years of sales experience in a B2B customer focus sales environment
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with CRM (Microsoft Dynamics is preferred)
