Staffing Coordinator | Non-Exempt

Summary

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing candidate pipeline which includes, extracting suitable candidates from various recruiting platforms, evaluating candidates against specific department requirements, conducting phone screens using the latest in technology and conducting candidate interviews as a key element of the overall staffing strategy. The Staffing Coordinator will maintain and coordinate activities to include directing applicant traffic and prescreening elements. Tasked with providing stellar internal and external client service, the Staffing Coordinator will uphold and enhance Smart Start’s credible reputation in the alcohol monitoring community.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled
  • Reviews job descriptions for vacancies.
  • Identify the most effective methods for staffing and attracting candidates.
  • Draft recruitment advertisements; posts and/or place ads in most effective digital or media platforms.
  • Identify appropriate candidates and assess their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communication
  • Maintain contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications
  • Vets potential employees credentials
  • Attends job fairs and industry conferences,
  • Identify processes needing reengineering, provide recommendations for improvement, develop plan, and execute accordingly.
  • Monitor progress and accuracy of programs and processes, escalating appropriately.
  • Analyze, consolidate, validate, enter, and track staffing data
  • Organize and maintain records and filing systems.
  • Partner internally and externally with a positive and collaborative attitude and professional communication.
  • Lead by example through professional actions, behaviors, and communication.
  • Handle documents utilizing various office equipment.
  • Identify and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and expectations of confidentiality.
  • Provide general care center support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements

  • Proficient in staffing and hiring social media sites and various platforms.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a fast-paced and high-volume staffing environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Leadership skills including sound judgment, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent time management, and prioritization skills
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Professional verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency for successful multitasking
  • Courteous yet courageous interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability and resourceful thinking for potentially challenging or high stress situations
  • Self and audience awareness
