Are you looking for some part time evening work? The Park Side Cafe in Olympia, WA is looking for PM Servers!

Join our team for our new fine dining dinner service! Our ideal candidate is attentive, self-motivated, and professional with a positive attitude. Passion or interest in plant-based foods is a plus!

The position is Part Time. 8-10 hrs/week (1 night), potentially expanding to 16-20 hrs/week (2 nights). The dinner service will be just one night per week to start out. It will be reservation only with a set 5-course plant-based menu. Potential for more hours listed below in "Extras" .

Responsibilities

• Transitioning from daytime operations to dinner service: Cleaning, setting tables/tablecloths, prepping flatware/glassware/dinnerware
• Hosting: Greeting guests, checking reservations, seating guests and informing guests of what to expect of their experience. Communicating with kitchen staff when all guests have arrived.
• Service: Taking/making drink orders, check id for alcoholic drinks, clearing glassware/ flatware from the table when necessary, answering any questions that arise, keeping a clean work environment, working with the cooks to bring food out in a timed manner for a seamless guest experience, taking payments, communicating with kitchen staff throughout service.
• Cleaning/Closing: Clearing dishes/table linens, sweeping/mopping dining floor, cleaning/restocking bathrooms, polishing flatware/glassware, taking down curtains, storing dishes away properly.
• Extras: If interested, there may be potential for more hours with specialty drinks recipe development, and cross training in the kitchen (plating, small prep, etc), and cross training day time operations (barista, prep cook)

Qualifications

• 2 years of serving experience.
• Reliable availability
• Obtain and keep current a WA state food handler card and Class 12 alcohol serving permit.
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Be able to stand and walk for several hours at a time.
• Clear communication skills
• Wine knowledge is a plus!
