Job Description

The Federally Focused Business Development Executive (FFBDE) will focus on building relationships with prospects within the federal sector and converting them into clients. Candidates should be comfortable opening doors with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop qualified leads independently and by using sources like FBO, GovWin or other applicable tools and resources when it makes financial sense.

• Obtain direct contact and nurture relationships with decision-makers in Civilian and Defense agencies.

• Work closely with the marketing team to create custom prospect campaigns.

• Leverage our internal CRM, HubSpot, to create and maintain relationships with clients and prospects.

• Work with prospective clients to understand their buying process and timeline and then successfully manage the process.

  • Often will be assisting multiple stakeholders move through the buying journey, creating internal alignment along the way.

• Work closely with our Delivery organization to develop, create and execute strategic account plans for existing clients.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional sales experience, ideally in the IT industry and at least 3 years selling to the Federal Government.

• Understand how to work with Federal primes to become a subcontractor for them.

• Experience cultivating meaningful relationships with decision-makers in Civilian and Defense agencies to drive new contract wins and revenue through conventional and creative mediums (phone, email, social media, local associations, etc).

• Fluent and experienced in writing accepted federal proposals with a deep understanding of government vocabulary.

• Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to demonstrate patience and enthusiasm.

• Desire to work both independently and as an active member of a team.

• Strong computer skills, including Google Suite for Business experience, preferred.
