About us

A nonprofit organization, 19 Carter is a unique, busy community center that has a welcoming, caring culture and serves a wide range of ages and personalities. Located in a restored 1887 old church located in Berlin's historic town center, it serves over 1,000 patrons each month.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join our team. As an Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations and the events/activities of our organization. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

Duties:

- Coordinate and manage various tasks to ensure building and grounds are clean and welcoming

- Assist with event and activity planning and coordination, assist with marketing and fundraising

- Provide clerical support such as greeting the public, answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining supplies

- Perform general office duties such as typing, filing, and data entry

- Maintain accurate records and documentation

- Assist with financial tasks, including ticket sales and art sales using POS software

- Collaborate with team members and volunteers to ensure friendly and efficient events and activities

Skills:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities

- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanor

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Familiarity with basic clerical tasks such as filing and data entry

- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus
