Strong Communication Skills: Team lead must be able to effectively communicate with team members, management, and other stakeholders. This includes the ability to clearly articulate goals, expectations, and deadlines, as well as providing constructive feedback and addressing any issues that may arise. 2. Technical Expertise: Team lead must have a strong understanding of VMware and Windows Server technologies, as well as the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends. This will enable them to provide guidance, support, and direction to team members, as well as to make informed decisions about technical solutions. 3. 4. Strategic Thinking: Team lead should be able to think strategically and identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and other areas of operational efficiency. This includes the ability to evaluate current processes, identify pain points, and develop and implement solutions to address these challenges. 5. Problem-Solving Skills: Must be able to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions to address these challenges. This requires strong critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to develop effective solutions. 6. Project Coordination and Oversight: For this position, it's important to be able to manage complex efforts effectively, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes the ability to plan and organize project tasks, manage project risks and issues, and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders. Formal projects will be executed with a PMO assigned Project Manager, which the team lead will interface on tasks relating to the Windows VMWare area. 7. Experience with creating and implementing standard operating procedures and policies. Experience in conducting assessments, creating roadmaps, and driving initiatives to completion. Experience in managing relationships with vendors and ensuring compliance with service level agreements. Technical Skills: VMware vSphere: Expertise in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting VMware vSphere, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and vSphere Web Client. Expertise VMWare vSphere system design, build and architecture. Windows Server Operating Systems: Proficiency in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022). 2. Active Directory: In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, including user and group management, security permissions, and domain controllers. 3 4. Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, SCOM and others. Aria/vRealize Suite: Experience with vRealize Suite technologies, including vRealize Operations. 5. Security: Knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems, and how to implement them in a virtualized environment. For the following items, med-high level knowledge on all items, or specific expertise in several is required. 6. Network Infrastructure: Knowledge of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies. Virtual Networking: Knowledge of virtual networking technologies, such as virtual switches, distributed switches, VLANs, and network adapters. 7. Storage: Knowledge of storage technologies, such as SAN, NAS, and RAID, and the ability to configure storage in a virtualized environment, especially with Dell/EMC HW & SW. 8. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery technologies, including vSphere HA, vSphere FT, and vSphere Replication. 9. Backup and Recovery: Knowledge of backup and recovery technologies, including Rubrick and Avamar/Data Domain. Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery technologies, including backup software, replication, and disaster recovery planning. 10. PowerShell Scripting: Ability to automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting. 11. Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, such as Azure or AWS, including deploying, configuring, and managing virtual machines in the cloud. 12. Hardware: Knowledge of server hardware components, including CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and RAID controllers. Candidate must have a valid US Indefinite Work Permit and comply with ITAR regulations.
