Within our kitchen, we run multiple operations out of it - a full-service dinner service, a lunch cafe, a catering company, and an ice cream company. Our dishwasher will be responsible for assisting kitchen staff to create a wide variety of worldly cuisine to the highest standards for our guests. They assist in overall operation of the kitchen from ensure all plates, utensils, and necessary items are cleaned for usage. As well as cleaning, they are also tasked with minor prep tasks to ensure that the kitchen is fully stocked for the coming shift, dinner, lunch, or a catering request. Dishwashers will follow procedure of prepping ingredients of established recipes and techniques created by our head chef and the culinary staff. Dishwasher will be asked to assist with cleaning more sensitive items such as culinary knives, certain pots and pans, and ice cream containers by hand. Dishwashers will also assist in keeping ingredients to their freshest form and monitor and notify staff if any item has gone past its time of serving.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist kitchen staff with cleaning all utensils, pots, pans, cooking equipment, cups, and more that become used during the day with our dishwashing station
- Clean dishwasher sensitive items in our separate cleaning station by hand
- Assisting cooking staff with service preparation tasks such as potato cutting, preparing fish or meat for cutting, prepping items for house-made sauce recipes, grinding and shredding cheese wheels, stocking items in the reach ins for the chefs, and more
- Replacing the fryer oil periodically with new oil
- Daily filtering of fryer oil to maintain freshness with our filter device
- Notify kitchen staff when an item in our walk in is running low on stock
- Ensuring all cleaning chemicals are stocked and maintained; if they are running low, notify the appropriate team member to order more
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations of Washington while handling and preparing food
- Collaborating with other members of the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
- Monitoring food inventory levels and reporting shortages or overages to the appropriate staff members
- Maintain a clean organized kitchen along with preparing and storing ingredients/food for cooking, portioning, and chopping
- Ensure that all fresh fruits and vegetables are washed and peeled upon need by the dishes ordered or expected order volumes
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients in accordance with our established recipes and standard operating procedures
- Be able to set up and break down all necessary workstations in the kitchen
- Will learn and understand how to appropriately operate all kitchen equipment and tools to the highest level of efficiency and safety
- Have a willingness to perform other tasks as assigned by a manager & Executive /Sous Chef(s)
- Follow all safety rules and regulations as set by our policy & procedure manual
- Follow all general and company policies and procedures
- Performs service tasks as directed by Executive/Sous Chef(s) following our policy & procedures manual

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- 6 Months - 1 years of kitchen experience
- Must have the ability to drive their own vehicle to and back from work
- Must possess great communication skills to effectively speak with team members and/or guests
- Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Strong work ethic, team focus, and commitment to guest service
- Strong attention to detail; knows your weights, measurements, and volumes for portioning
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- A degree or certificate in a postsecondary culinary arts institution or a related field is a plus
- Knife skills are a preferred skill
- Knowlede of food preparation is a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent
REQUIRED LICENSES VERIFICATION:
- Must possess/have the ability to obtain a valid WA Food Handlers Permit
- Must have a valid drivers license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to lift, push and carry up to 30 - 50 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, sitting, walking, and bending without restriction entire shift - a typical shift is approx. 6-10 hours.
- Must be okay with working with knives and sharp kitchen equipment
- Must have the ability to reach below/above shoulder level continuously
- Must be able to work in crowded and noisy environments of a kitchen

Pay: $18 - $22 an Hour / We will negotiate a competitive rate within or around this range!

Supplemental Pay:
*All employees must undergo a 90-day probationary period from orientation start - where we will educate and evaluate your performance throughout to ascertain your fit within our company. A Benefits Package will be granted upon successful completion of 90 day probation period.
