Job Description: The Packaging Operator is responsible for the inspection and packaging of all products that will meet or exceed the customers’ expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the visual inspection and packaging of all products to ensure that quality standards are met Perform quality checks as required and document all quality checks properly Communicate with Shift Supervisor and Lead Person to determine acceptability when questions/problems arise Communicate with Shift Supervisor, Lead Person and Final Inspection to keep them informed of defects that prevent material from being packaged Keep work area clean and free of clutter Assist other employees when time allows Additional duties as assigned by management Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred Experience: N/A Systems: N/A Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operation Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentation Basic computer skills Preferred Qualifications: Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills Basic math skills Mechanically inclined Industrial work experience Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 lbs. Push/pull 100 lbs.
