Job Title: Event Coordinator/Funkatorium Floor Manager Date: 2/12/24 Job Type: Full-Time /Non-Exempt Department: Pubs Location: Funkatorium Reports To: Funkatorium General Manager/Assistant General Manager Summary: This is a hybrid position that will focus on booking private events at Wicked Weed Funkatorium and Cultura (2-3 days per week) and managing all FOH taproom activities (2-3 days per week). EVENT COORDINATOR Working in collaboration with the GM, AGM, and kitchen managers this individual will provide leadership in the coordination and implementation of private events at Wicked Weed locations. The Event Coordinator should have a love for Sales and Event Management. Candidate must be able to provide first-class customer service and be an enthusiastic professional with the ability to build relationships. FLOOR MANAGER As a key member of the Wicked Weed Brewing team, the Floor Manager is accountable for all taproom activities and must understand POS systems, personnel management and motivation, development and coaching, food safety and customer satisfaction. This position requires the ability to manage a large staff effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant/pub environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the sale, setup, and execution of private events Day of execution of booked events Maintains and organizes a calendar of all private events Assist in creating new event opportunities Attends scheduled weekly and monthly meetings Upholds all policies and procedures according to handbook and department Promotes an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork within the department and the company Participates in monthly inventory and invoices in cooperation with accounting for events Food and beverage menu updates, edits, changes, and prints for events Provides consistent, perfected customer service and product knowledge, manages operations with passion and integrity, and continually improves proficiency and knowledge. Understands front-of-house and back-of-house operations Oversees and manages all areas of the taproom and POS system during scheduled shifts Ensures positive guest experiences Ensures a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents Understands and maintains facilities at a level exceeding regulatory standards of quality, service, and cleanliness, including clean and sour beer lines Responsible for the proper training of new employees Assists in the hiring, supervision, and peer review of employees Provides ongoing feedback, establishes performance expectations, and assists with performance reviews Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of marketing and event planning principles. Excellent leadership skills with the proven ability to lead and motivate team members. Solid planning and organizing skills and abilities. Excellent ability to network, collaborate, and bring people together. Ability to understand when to seek input and participation and when to act quickly. Ability to present to large groups of people for communication and training purposes, as well as effectively conduct 1 on 1 or small group activities. Ability to find solutions to problems by identifying the issues and evaluating the most effective and cost-effective solutions. Ability to exercise initiative and judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office suite skills. Knowledge of the beer and brewing industry is ideal, craft beer industry is desirable. Strong Organizational skills are a must. Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to taproom problems Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse customers and staff Education and/or Experience: 1-year experience in event planning/coordinator 1-year Front of House restaurant experience Bartending experience a plus Excellent Organizational skills Ability to work well independently on several projects simultaneously Cicerone certified a plus Work Environment: Brewery settings (Indoors & Outdoors) The employee frequently must work in an environment with a moderate to high noise level Rapidly changing flow of business That of a busy brewpub, fast-paced Job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and light lifting Busy Restaurant dining/event areas along with two full-service kitchens Requires frequent operation of a variety of office machines Late nights/Early mornings, and some holidays Physical Demands: Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, crouch. Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell. Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
