BARTENDER
12 Hawks in Ephrata is seeking a positive, friendly, reliable Bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. The ideal candidate can craft create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs, expectations, and create a fun experience as well.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance, including proper hygiene and report to work as scheduled, in uniform and ready to take over your station.
• Greets guests immediately upon arrival and acknowledges them at departure.
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant guests with a sense of urgency.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Accurately enters orders on point-of-sale system.
• Check ALL customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Pre-busses tables in a timely manner; clears, cleans and presets tables promptly upon guests’ departure.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Demonstrates safe cash handling procedures in accordance with policy and accurately completes cash, credit card, and discount transactions.
• Willingly assists others without being asked.
• Cleans and sanitizes surfaces at the end of the shift.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Must be 21 with High School education or equivalent.
• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender.
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
• Relevant MAST certificate and Food Handler's card.

Bilingual in Spanish and English is a bonus.
