Immediate Opening for a Direct Hire Warehouse Manager in the Dayton, Ohio area!
Exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager for a growing business! This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day distribution operations (i.e. receiving, picking/packing, shipping, inventory management, safety and logistics) of the company warehouse: working closely with all business functions to understand their service needs, and implementing logistics solutions to drive improved efficiency and effectiveness of operational practices while also providing consistent excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
• Strategically manage warehouse including all warehouse staff and drive quality standards and 
continuous improvement in compliance with company’s policies and vision.
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and special project operations.
• Liaison & primary point of contact for facilities' personnel, responsible to attend project meetings & 
other needed meetings; understand warehouse roles/responsibilities for all projects & 
plan/coordinate warehouse resources as appropriate.
• Ensure efficient space utilization & physical condition of warehouse. Coordinating any maintenance 
requests (building or equipment with HR/Facilities).
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures including SOP creation 
and associate cross training for all primary warehouse functions.
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling shipping legislation requirements, and making any 
recommendations to management as needed to support these requirements.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security and certifications.
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
• Develop warehouse performance metrics and provide regular reporting, statistics and 
recommendations for process improvements based on measures on agreed upon timeline.
• Responsible to schedule & prioritize workload for warehouse associates to ensure accurate & timely 
completion of day-to-day warehouse requirements and special projects.
• Responsible to provide special project quotes to sales for project work to occur in house or through 
company partnerships. Responsible for successful execution & delivery of projects.
• Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, 
monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Liaison between freight carriers and company
Physical Demands and the Work Environment
  • Must possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; to stand and walk for most of the workday; and to perform repetitive movements including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
  • The environment is typically comfortable but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes.
Qualifications
• Associate’s degree (or higher) in Business or related field preferred, and a minimum of 3 years 
warehouse management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Broad knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations, and transportation systems required.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of diverse backgrounds and an emphasis on 
communication: training, team building, negotiation skills, interdepartmental interaction, and 
supervision (motivation, directing).
• Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills (including correct use of grammar in 
business writing and speaking).
• Ability to add, subtract multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common 
fractions, and decimals​​​​​​.
•Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where productivity is tracked, and multi-tasking is a necessity.
•Able to take initiative in documenting/implementing process improvements.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as exhibit good listening skills, and will enjoy interfacing with people.
•Must be able to handle multiple requests and details simultaneously, while promptly responding to inquiries to 
ensure expectations are met.
