Director - Finance Data, Reporting and Analytics This role will work closely with other members of the Finance and accounting, Close and reporting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Products and technology, and other business teams by using leading practices to develop, simplify, and enhance EG processes to enable a world-class Finance function. Leading special projects and work streams that require analytical skills and knowledge of systems/processes related to business acquisitions, financial system implementations, upgrades, or changes in accounting policy. What You'll Do Design and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and distribution. Develop and maintain data warehouse and data lake architecture. Optimize data flow and collection for cross-functional teams (FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Brand Finance Collaborate with business finance and FPA users to understand business needs, Power some of the most important and insightful dashboards and insights for Expedia's finance leadership. Employ a variety of languages and tools to integrate systems or seek opportunities to acquire new data from other systems. Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics (daily, weekly, and monthly) Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, including variance analysis and KPI reviews, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimize financial health and operational efficiency. Develop comprehensive and regular financial reports for senior management to inform strategic decision-making. Strong understanding of the software industry and its success metrics/drivers/processes, Software and/or internet industry experience a plus. Strong communication and influencing skills. Assist the business in achieving short and long-term goals relating to product growth through data-driven, actionable insights. Ensuring business continuity of legacy reporting tools (Teradata, Hyperion, PowerBI) while leading the organization to transition toward standard and higher quality reporting. Familiarity with ERP/Planning tools preferred (Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, Anaplan or TM1, SAP S4 Hana, SAP Group Reporting etc) Who you are 7 to 10 years of experience in finance with increasing responsibility, including experience supporting a large-scale organization. Ability to influence at all levels and develop strong cross-functional relationships. Highly analytical, fact-driven, process-orientated, and comfortable challenging the status quo and setting new strategic/operational direction. Excellent organizational and leadership skills, including strong communication and the ability to distill complex processes into digestible insights. Understanding of data modeling and analysis and experience creating Financial analytics models and business views that resonate with business users People management experience MBA or relevant graduate degree or similar academic experience High energy and a desire to work in a result-oriented, dynamic, fast growth environment. The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $221,000.00 to $309,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $353,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
