About This Role Operations Research - Flight Operations Are you looking for a work environment where you can innovate, reach greater heights, and collaborate with experts from a wide range of sectors? By joining our Operations Research Team, you will have the opportunity to implement optimisation engines within the context of flight operations. The role we are offering you: Interpret business requirements and convert them into parameters understandable by a mathematical engine. Walk through airline processes and how an optimization engine will fit into their overall picture. Set up reports to explain cause and effect to customers in the context of the parameter changes requested. Write Python scripts to help collate data and draw insights on optimization. Explain the output of optimization engines in a way that highlights cause and effect. Our ideal candidate has: Understanding of airline processes specific to either Crew Planning or Disruption Management. Previous experience with optimization engines in an airline context. In addition, the following experience is nice to have: Bachelor's (with Honours) or higher in Operations Research, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a similar field Knowledge of large-scale integer programming software such as Gurobi or CPLEX (or equivalent) Python scripting ability Location: Kraków, Tischnera Office.
