Job Title Platform Engineer Amadeus Hospitality is looking for a self-starting, highly motivated, and technically astute candidates with good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude for systems implementation of mid-scale enterprise solutions. The Platform Engineer is responsible for working closely with Development, release engineering, and operations teams to ensure efficient and effective run-time operations availability of platforms and services while maintaining high levels of performance. Managing escalations, and providing technical assistance to the team is expected. The ability to work in a cross-functional development and operations environment with a focus on systems design, management, and monitoring is key to success. Main Responsibilities Facilitate implementation of new cloud platform components following agile best practices, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-As-Code Participate in building tools and processes to support public cloud infrastructure and platforms. Build, administer and maintain systems in accordance with Service Availability objectives or agreements with internal or external customers. Provide evidence-based troubleshooting and triaging at times under at high pressure to identify and resolve root causes for service disruption. Document for problem management and recommend mid-term resolution. Perform systems analysis to document critical flows and requirements of new and existing systems Participate in systems design with other team members and architects. Encourage shared and common design practices with metrics for cost, performance, capacity, availability Develop and maintain processes for recoverability, fail-over, disaster recovery, and business continuity Manage backup, recovery and retention of customer data according to contractual and functional requirements. Document and deliver operational focused monitoring, reporting, and technical guidance to L2 Support Preferred Work Experience 5 years managing, administering or supporting highly-available hosted environments. 3 years responsbilility for designing, implementing, and maintaining distributed systems. 5 years experience developing, deploying, and supporting applications in both public cloud and private hosting environments. 3 years experience with Windows web hosting 3 years experience with Windows Server AD and/or Entra ID 3 years experience with distributed version control i.e. GitHub, DevOps, TFS, etc. helpful but not required 3 years experience facilitating and participating in systems design reviews 3 years experience automating deployment of applications using desired state configuration, PowerShell, or other automation languages. 1 years with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Container Registries Aptitude to learn on inexperienced areas Desirable Technical or Professional Skills Certification in Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, or Kubernetes Supporting, deploying, or authoring .Net applications in Windows Internet Information Services Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field Conceptual understanding of OSI or Five Layer TCP/IP Model Applies systems-thinking to conceptualize, document, and troubleshoot a distributed application Experience with load balancing configuration and automation What we can offer you: Professional development to broaden your knowledge and enhance your skills with on-line learning hubs packed with technical and soft skills training that allow you to develop and grow.
