Job Title: Registered Nurse, Operating Room

Job Location: Bakersfield, CA

Job Type: Contract – 13 weeks

Job Duties:

• Ensure that the operating room is properly set up and equipped for surgical procedures, including sterilizing instruments, arranging surgical equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Aid surgeons during procedures by handing them instruments, anticipating their needs, and helping with patient positioning.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgery, promptly reporting any changes to the surgical team. Administer medications as directed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists, to coordinate patient care and ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
• Assist in the postoperative care of patients by monitoring their recovery, providing appropriate interventions, and communicating effectively with the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or other units involved in patient care.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• License, Certification, Registration.
• 2-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience as RN Inpatient Operating Room/Surgery.
• Licenses Required – BLS, ACLS and California RN license.
• Travel Required.

Schedule:

• Day Shift
• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 40 Hours/Week
