Job Title: Radiology Tech

Job Location: New York, NY

Job Type: Contract – 13 Weeks

Job Duties: 

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and fluoroscopy, following physician orders and established protocols.
  • Position patients correctly and operate imaging equipment to capture clear and accurate images of specific body parts or areas of interest.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure proper imaging techniques and image quality for accurate interpretation.
  • Provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process, explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation safety protocols, shielding sensitive areas, and minimizing radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies or medical issues.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, and other specialized equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks, calibration, and quality control tests on equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate with biomedical engineering or service technicians for repairs as needed.
  • Document patient information, imaging procedures, and technical factors accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) or radiology information systems (RIS).
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other privacy standards in handling patient records and information.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs, including image evaluation, peer review, and performance improvement initiatives, to maintain high standards of patient care and image quality.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and protocols.

  • ARRT

  • 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Monday - Friday
  • 40 Hours/Week

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 per hour
