Job Title: Medical Assistant

Job Location: Fortuna, CA 95540

Job Type: Contract - 3 Months

Job Duties:

• Responsible for maintaining a highly professional environment, ensuring a collaborative relationship with patients and physicians.
• Assist with the non-clinical tasks required to ensure smooth patient access and flow including scheduling patients which can include follow up office visits, imaging and lab work, preparation of appropriate chart elements.
• The responsibilities of this position would also include pre-authorization process and acting as a liaison between the providers and patient.
• The work collaboratively with staff to ensure all proper records are received and all appropriate testing is completed prior to appointment/surgery date.
• Provide updates to the staff and patients on timing and status for all the above tasks that could have an impact on the patient’s health and/or testing and treatment options.
• Ensures even patient flow and continuous communication within Client and referring physician offices.

Job Requirements:

• 1 years Medical Assistant experience.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Schedule:

• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 Hours per week
• 8 hours per day
• 5 days per week

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
