Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Med/Surg/Tele

Job Location: Kansas City, MO

Job Type: Contract

Job Duties:

• Provide direct patient care to individuals admitted to the Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) unit, assessing their medical conditions, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans for patients based on their medical needs and treatment goals.
• Perform routine nursing procedures, including wound care, catheterization, and medication administration, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
• Monitor patients' responses to medical treatments and interventions, reporting any changes in condition or adverse reactions promptly to the healthcare team.
• Utilize telehealth technology to conduct remote patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
• Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies, promoting health literacy and adherence to prescribed therapies.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years' recent experience required as a Med surg/Tele nurse in a hospital setting.
• Must have active state RN License
• Must have BLS AHA certificate

Schedule:

• Day/Night Shift
• 24 Hours per Week
• 12 Hours Shift
• Weekend Rotation: every S/S
• On-call Requirements: as needed
