Job Description TechStyleOS is looking for a Data Scientist to join our Marketing Science & Analytics team. How Do You Fit In? As a Data Scientist at TechStyleOS, you will play a key role in developing insights that empower our internal teams to scale marketing spend effectively and drive exceptional customer experiences from ad exposure to checkout. You will collaborate closely with Data Analytics, Media, and a diverse Data Science team with various expertise and focuses. Tools and Technologies: Expect to leverage Python and SQL daily, with larger projects involving Databricks and Airflow for scale and automation. Flexibility in choosing the best tools for your role is encouraged, reflecting our commitment to ongoing education and exploration of new technologies and modeling methods. Ideal Candidate: We seek a detail-oriented, intrinsically motivated Data Scientist who possesses an inherent curiosity and technical prowess. Your journey to becoming an expert in our systems, tools, and data likely extends beyond formal education, enriched by your passion for late-night hacking sessions. A great storyteller who enjoys collaboration, you will be pivotal in optimizing our digital marketing strategies and media initiatives. This position will report to the Director of Marketing Science & Analytics. What you will be doing: Media Mix Modeling: Develop and implement advanced media mix models to assess the impact of digital marketing channels Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive data inputs for accurate modeling Media Attribution Systems: Design and maintain media attribution systems to track and attribute the impact of marketing touchpoints throughout the customer journey Work closely with marketing teams to align attribution models with business goals Incrementality Testing: Conduct rigorous incrementality testing to measure the true impact of marketing interventions and campaigns Provide insights and recommendations based on incrementality testing to optimize marketing spend Product Recommendation Algorithms: Collaborate with other Data Science team members to develop and enhance product recommendation algorithms for a personalized customer experience Implement machine learning techniques to analyze customer behavior and tailor recommendations to individual preferences Data Analysis and Visualization: Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to derive insights from large datasets Create visually compelling dashboards and reports to communicate findings, both for marketing and customer experience optimization Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with marketing, analytics, and technology teams to understand data requirements for both marketing and personalization initiatives Clearly communicate complex findings and algorithmic recommendations to non-technical stakeholders Model Validation and Optimization: Regularly validate and refine media and recommendation models to ensure accuracy and relevance Identify opportunities for model optimization and propose data-driven solutions to enhance performance What you can bring: 2-4 years of work experience as a Data Scientist Fluent in R or Python (Python preferred), SQL, and Git Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques (e.g. classification, clustering, regularization, optimization, dimension reduction, feature engineering) Experience with attribution, causal inference, experimental design, and AB testing methods Proven experience in media mix modeling, media attribution, and incrementality testing within a digital marketing context The ability to understand and implement publications in the fields of Data Science/Machine Learning as applied to marketing Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex topics to a non-technical audience Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau Familiarity with marketing tech stack and digital data technologies (Google Analytics, pixel tracking, etc.) Experience in e-commerce, subscription models, and/or direct-to-consumer brands Where we are: This role will be based in our El Segundo Headquarters Benefits & Perks: Hybrid Work Schedule* Unlimited Paid Time Off* Summer Fridays Healthcare Plans Calm App Subscription Employee Discounts 401K Plan Annual Discretionary Bonus Plan Equity Incentive Plan And More *Varied for retail and fulfillment roles The annual base salary range for this position is from $126,000 to $140,000 Offers to candidates are expected to fall within this range and will depend on the scope and complexity of the role, work experience, subject matter expertise, work location and other relevant factors. #LI-CR1 #LI-TechStyleOS About TechStyleOS TechStyleOS is the globally integrated Operations and Services provider behind some of the fastest growing online fashion brands in history, including Fabletics, Savage X Fenty, JustFab, ShoeDazzle, and FabKids.
