HSE Manager As HSE Manager in ECANA region (Europe, Central Asia, Northern Africa), you will be driving and coordinating HSE activities across the Europe & North Africa region. Your primary focus in this role will be to ensure the implementation of HSE guidelines, processes, and policies in the region. Reporting to the Head of HSE for ECANA region, you can look forward to an exciting position where you will build a large network across the region to ensure HSE (including travel security) alignment across our many offices, manufacturing facilities and construction sites. You will collaborate with both global function and local site colleagues to ensure international alignment with regulatory requirements and our own high standards. As a person, you have a passion for the HSE area and a high drive to run projects independently. You have a proven track record of getting things done and implementing changes. You will need to leverage your project management and skills to collaborate with your colleagues across sites to drive change. Your responsibilities Identify and implement local legal requirement related to company activities to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and maintain legal register. Create and maintain a comprehensive HSE management system that covers all aspects of site activities by following both the company global HSE requirements and local requirements. Identify risks and provide input to improved procedures on how to reduce risks and hazards by facilitating risk assessment procedures. Identify environment impacts from company’s activities and maintain the environmental impact register, support the design and implementation of environmental initiatives. Identify HSE competence required in the organization and support the training programs to and among employees, contractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure all activities are following relevant legal and company / customer requirements, including both the activities inside the company and at customer sites. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of HSE data, including Incidents, Observations, Environment related indicators, etc. Ensure accidents, near-misses, observations properly investigated, root causes identified, corrective and preventive actions implemented to prevent recurrence, and communicated within the organization properly. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement. Coordinate with relevant regulatory authorities, external auditors, and certification bodies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and achieve necessary certifications. Establish and maintain relations with relevant authorities. Create and maintain Emergency Response Plan and Site Induction for company locations and arrange evacuation drills. Promote a Zero Harm culture in the organization. Ensure FLS HSE requirements are implemented in contractors. Support Sales team for tendering from HSE perspective. What you bring Comprehensive experience in HSE area. Work experience in the mining industry is a plus. Solid knowledge in local/national HSE regulations and HSE compliance obligations. Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards, preferably holds the Lead Auditor Certificate. Experience in developing and implementing QHSE management systems (IMS), policies, and procedures. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Knowledge about incident investigation and root cause analysis. Experience in delivering QHSE training programs and promoting a safety-oriented culture. Strong knowledge of the MS Office package. Full professional proficiency English, Danish and German are plus.
