Job Summary Arch is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ESG Manager, Analyst and Reporting to join our team based in our White Plains, New York office. As a key contributor to Arch's sustainability initiatives, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting ESG-related data to drive informed decision-making and uphold our commitment to corporate responsibility. This position is responsible for leading initiatives related to our annual carbon footprint and minimizing its environmental impact. The role focuses on developing and implementing strategies to enhance environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and overall environmental responsibility. This role will span on-going responsibilities and project-based work across Arch’s ESG initiatives, including preparing and drafting the annual sustainability reports, managing and supporting supplier assessments and supplier diversity programs. Project-based work include, but are not limited to, maintaining the momentum behind firmwide workstreams focused on ESG data collection, climate change strategy and investment process integration. Responsibilities Data Management and Analysis Lead the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG data, including greenhouse gas data necessary for annual calculations across 50 offices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting and auditing standards. Utilize analytics to identify trends, outliers, and opportunities for improvement in Arch’s ESG reporting requirements. ESG Reporting and Disclosure Lead and manage the collection and refinement of the company’s carbon footprint and identify areas for improvement or efficiencies Lead reporting and analysis of company’s carbon footprint and report data, findings and key actions to global stakeholders. Overseeing carbon emissions mitigation/decarbonization efforts including working with company facilities department to drive efficiencies and sustainability and purchasing carbon capture, RECs and offsets. Participate in the preparation and production of comprehensive ESG reports in alignment with industry standards (e.g., SASB, TCFD, CSRD, SEC) for internal and external stakeholders. This includes various local government regulatory and reporting requirements. Enhance ESG disclosures on key ESG topics; including customer experience, green underwriting, responsible investing, global workforce policies including commitment to human rights and supplier code of conduct. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of ESG data for regulatory and voluntary disclosures. Stakeholder Engagement Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their ESG data needs and provide insights that support Arch's sustainability goals and initiatives. Overall management of projects, ensuring quality and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Continuous Improvement Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in the ESG space, driving continuous improvement in data analytics methodologies and reporting processes. Review ISS ESG ratings to identify disclosure enhancements to impact scores. Implement enhancements to ESG data collection and analysis processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. Collaboration Work proactively and collaboratively with global teams, including finance, legal, investor relations and ESG teams, to integrate ESG data into broader corporate reporting initiatives. Partner with cross functional working groups to review regulatory requirements, identify and address gaps in current disclosures and procedures, inform global stakeholders and facilitate enhanced disclosure needs. Partner with global and local stakeholders to research, develop, and implement sustainability programs and procedures. Support internal and external audit processes related to ESG data. Communication Foster collaborative and engaged relationships with internal stakeholders and external business partners. Foster and develop strong partner relationships with outside service providers and internal partners and stakeholders. Build interdepartmental relationships to influence both internal and external stakeholders on the importance of sustainability initiatives. Build a network to understand common sustainability challenges internally and across our industry to enable proactive positioning and strategy development. Manage and support external teams/consultants, including reviewing analysis and implementing outcomes. Build process to respond to inquiries from internal and external teams regarding Arch’s sustainability practices. Special focus on requests from business units. Manage the oversight of our supply chain, including evaluating suppliers across ESG factors, identifying suppliers with areas for improvement and engagement with contract owners, as necessary. Rating Agencies; overseeing relationships and conducting gap analysis to see how ESG reports and disclosures can be improved and more integrated. Preparing and updating quarterly investor materials re ESG disclosures. Develop messaging for internal and external audiences to show alignment with our business strategy and values. Education and Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, or a related field. 5 years of experience in data analysis, auditing or financial reporting, ideally, but not a required focus on ESG metrics and reporting. 5 years of experience of direct leadership or cross-functional team leadership. 5 years of experience managing sustainability initiatives and projects. Experience with GHG data management software (Watershed, UL360, Nasdaq Metrio, Greenly, etc.). Experience analyzing complex problems and developing, recommending and implementing solutions to resolve such problems. Extensive subject matter knowledge and expertise of environmental and social sustainability policies, process, and technology. Experience working with facilities, events, supply chain and logistics sustainability efforts. Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding sustainability requirements. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self-starter, resourceful, and a team player with the ability to multi-task. Comfortable working on multiple projects with cross-functional teams in a global corporate environment. Experience developing communications for a wide range of internal and external audiences. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Superior organizational, drafting and editing skills. For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible. $110,058 - $148,902/year Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
