White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Pharmacy Technician III who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Pharmacy Technician III you will: • Performs advanced duties and responsibilities, reflecting the additional knowledge and experience they have earned and demonstrated. • Oversee and execute (with pharmacist supervision) of specific operations such as Sterile Compounding; Automation, Technology and Information Systems; Controlled Substances Dispensing and Diversion Prevention; Medication History capture and documentation. • Individual is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of, and applying applicable regulatory and practice standards, generating reports, communicate and interact with other professionals and disciplines, maintaining vendor relationships. • In addition to these specialized responsibilities, the Pharmacy Technician III will also be able to perform all duties in Pharmacy Tech I and Pharmacy Tech II positions. • Serves as mentor and trainer to those in the Pharmacy Technician I and II roles. • Adheres to and exhibits our Core Values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and stewardship, demonstrating positive customer relations, effective communication skills and excellent work ethics. Qualified candidates will possess: • Required: High school diploma or equivalent • Preferred: Graduation from an ASHP accredited or PTCB recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program. • Required: At least 3 years experience in a hospital setting, with automated distribution systems, decentralized pharmacy services, and sterile compounding.
