Job Title: Manager, Network Engineering Job Introduction: At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are seeking a Manager, Network Engineering to join our global network engineering and architecture team. As a Manager, Network Engineering, you will play a critical role in leading a team of network professionals to deliver high quality, available, redundant services according to Service Level Agreements. As a manager of our global network engineering team, you will ensure that network services and systems components align to and meet the expectations, standards, and objectives of our customers and Parexel. Who we are looking for: Driven individuals with proven experience working as a Manager, Network Engineering or in a similar role. Who are passionate and service-focused that can develop short and long-term strategic technology roadmaps and design, automate, and engineer the product lifecycle and development of network systems and services. That possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while demonstrating impeccable communication skills. What you’ll do: Partner with the Director of Unified Communications to define strategic blueprints for network technology platforms. Define, review, and maintain detailed hardware/software technical standards, especially related to installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of network platforms and systems. Ensure that technical standards and documentation are maintained in order to meet audit and compliance requirements. Build, manage, and mentor the network engineering team who is responsible for all LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Centers, Remote Access, Firewalls and Load Balancers for all enterprise environments. Additional details: Proven experience in engineering roles for LAN, WAN and network security systems along with experience in managing high performing teams of Network Subject Matter Experts is required. Specific experience in implementation and support of enterprise network protocols and technologies, including BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, QoS, WAN Optimization, automation and scripting, wireless network solutions, and VPN is essential to this role. Detailed understanding of advanced network security topics, such as firewalls, data encryption techniques and standards, vulnerability identification and risk mitigation, VPN, remote access, and authentication solutions, etc. Extensive experience and strong technical skills including the design, configuration, and tuning of firewalls, including Cisco ASA and FTD is paramount. Experience with Cisco Nexus family of switches (9k/7k/5k/2k) and ACI required. Excellent verbal & written communication skills as well as presentation skills. Highly motivated, self-starting individual who can see the big picture. Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience required.
