Job Description Summary Perform sample collection; identify quality status of ingredients and finished products through testing procedures. Maintain libraries of records and samples. Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Sample and tag incoming ingredients prior to testing for compliance to specifications. · Collect samples of mixed batter for analysis and retention. Deliver collected samples to Q.A. Lab for analysis and cataloging. Perform metal detector checks on an assigned frequency. · Perform quality checks on finished product and incoming ingredients. · Stores, retrieves and disposes of retained samples as required. · Sift samples from silo and packaging sifter tailing vessels on an assigned frequency. · Follows cleaning procedures of assigned work area. · Comply with all safety regulations and follows safe methods in chemical usages. · Reports all accidents/injuries and unsafe conditions to shift superintendent. · Maintains records as required. · Accomplish other related work as required. · Complies with all plant safety regulations and follows Good Manufacturing practices. · Maintain any required logs or paperwork in an accurate, timely fashion. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
