Role & Responsibility This high visibility role is designed to lead tangible & meaningful advanced technology projects in the Electrification industries = mobility (cars, 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers, aircraft, drones, …) and energy grid (energy storage systems, solar inverters, network management equipment), operating across Horizon 2 and Horizon 3 (see graphic below). Lead advanced technology supporting ADI “Sustainability as a Business” initiative with visibility to the ADI Board of Directors and senior leadership across the industry. Lead ADI Battery initiative in partnership with AES BU BMS Product Line, including the Battery Insight Center, and Battery Lab facilities in US and Europe. Visionary leadership to build beyond the battery into a roadmap of Intelligent Edge products built on data, sensing, measurement, power, processing, and communication. Identify and engage industry technology leaders at top OEMs and partners, define and execute business models that capture value for ADI, in areas that are of the highest strategic importance and innovation to ADI. Manage experienced team of ADI Fellows and senior technologists, through combination of solid and dotted line reporting structures. Lead pipeline process for advanced technology projects from concept to graduation into product developments funded by Electrification product lines or other ADI business units. Identify and mentor talent and support the Fellow selection process for Electrification, collaborating across ADI Fellow community. Manage programs with University partners, government / industry grants (e.g. EU Green, US CHIPS Act funding), and ADI patent creation in Electrification. Strong collaboration with direct and indirect influence with industry innovators, customers, ADI BU personnel, Sales, CTO, Security BU, Digital BU, Software BU, and other stakeholders. Thought leadership in Electrification, capability to represent ADI with customer senior leaders & CTOs Requirements Location Wilmington or Ireland Visionary engineering leader with bias to “learn by doing” Manage AET budget including capital expenditures Strong learning agility & synthesis, capability to “tell the story” appropriately to the audience Strong communication & collaboration skills Proven leadership of senior engineering Fellows, capability to develop & mentor new talent For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
