Job Description Summary: The Digital Healthcare group of Analog Devices is seeking an experienced power management applications engineer for ADI’s San Jose location. The successful candidate will get a chance to participate in the development and evaluation of low-power management products for the wearable market and get exposed to the cutting-edge power management technologies driving them. Job Description: Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to: Conduct thorough testing required for new product introduction including generating thorough test plan, performing comprehensive evaluation according to test plan, participate in productive team data review, and preparing test report based on bench data. Collecting typical characterization data on the bench for datasheet publication and collating results with design and test engineers Develop evaluation kits, reference designs, and demo systems efficiently Manage schematic and layout creation. Get feedback effectively from product team. Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability Perform applications optimization through simulations and lab testing Write application notes, user guides, articles, design ideas, datasheet/EV kit manuscripts for internal/external publication Provide technical support to sales team, key customers and field engineers. Review schematic and layout for customers’ application. Providing training to the field engineers. Support field team with the latest data and presentation material. Work closely with product definers, design team, business management, throughout the product evaluation and optimization. Support product definers with brainstorming and prototyping new product concepts and ideas. Modeling switching regulators in Simplis/LTSpice. Research competitive solutions and devise better ones Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience Understanding of transistor-level circuit design Intimate knowledge of various regulator architectures, LDO, Buck, Boost, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Hands-on experience with bench test equipment (Oscilloscope, Multi-meters, Function Generators, network analyzer etc.) Strong debugging skills Demonstrated ability to self-manage and meet deadlines.
