Pay Range: $42.58 - $52.42 Hourly Department: Department of Community Services (DCS) Job Type: Regular Represented Exemption Status: United States of America (Non-Exempt) Closing Date (Open Until Filled if No Date Specified): May 12, 2024 The Opportunity: OVERVIEW: The Multnomah County Department of Community Services is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Transportation Division! This position will be a part of our Road Engineering Team working closely with engineering staff and members of the public to gain consensus on and deliver capital projects. The person in this role will need to understand transportation principles and policies, how to translate between technical and engineering issues, public needs and policies. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Leading the planning and implementation of transportation plans, engineering and capital projects, and process improvements for the Transportation Division Facilitating and presenting the project scope, goals, milestones, and deliverables Identifying project risks and develop contingency plans Assembling, managing, directing, coordinating and supporting project staff and project team Managing project budgets and ensuring projects are delivered on time Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation Monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing project progress Working closely with staff across the division, department, and county - as well as with partner jurisdictions - to develop agreements on how to deliver projects Coordinating and collaborating with staff public works and planning staff from partner jurisdictions Who Are We? Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*: A Bachelor's degree or major coursework in urban planning, civil engineering, transportation or a related field with project management coursework is desirable; (in lieu of a degree we will consider equivalent work related experience) AND Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in project management which includes one or more of the following areas: planning, project development, civil engineering, capital project delivery, or program planning.
