Your Role and Responsibilities The MLOps Engineer role is pivotal to successfully helping our clients achieve more. In this role, a person must have a deep technical understanding of Machnie Learning as well as the concepts behind DevOps. You will work both on Kyndryl teams where we are building Machine Learning or Generative AI solutions for our clients as well as with customers who are learning how to build MLOps in to their existing data environments. This role is critical for many our clients to solve the problem of how to reliably build models. You will need to understand how to version data, version models, judge whether a model has grown stale, create pipelines to automate refreshing a model, version the model, assist on audits for responsible AI. Soft skills are a must for MLOps Engineers to be successful. Must be able to ask well thought out questions and then be a good listener for the answer. Speaking the language of Machine Learning, Agile and DevOps while explaining technical details to experienced application development teams and then demonstrating superior skills to those teams is required. Who You Are Required Technical and Professional Expertise An Entrepreneurial Attitude. We are just beginning to grow our Data and AI offerings, you should be ready to do whatever is necessary to make our team stronger. Deep knowledge of the AI Solutions provided by at least one (and ideally all three) cloud providers. An understanding of foundational cloud concepts such as tagging, least privileges, horizontal scaling, etc… 3-5 years of experience with creating and managing Code-Driven DevOps and/or MLOps Pipelines Experience with DevOps Technologies and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Travis CI, Circle CI, GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CodeDeploy, etc…) Experience deploying software on containers into various Kubernetes platforms. Demonstrated communication skills, and the ability to work directly with clients/customers Preferred Technical and Professional Experience One of Kyndryl’s key focus areas is on AI for our Financial Services Clients, experience building models or working with data from banking, insurance, or investment companies is a big plus. Ability to articulate key technologies’ impact on security, availability, cost, capacity, go to market, and business value. BS, MS, or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Deep knowledge of Python and the libraries required for data science (Pandas, PyTorch, etc…) Experience in Agile (Kanban, SAFe, and Scrum) Experience delivering on complex project commitments Programming exp Experience with various IT Operating Models and building organizations to deploy and support key technologies that are critical to driving business value.
