1000 ConAgra Fds Packaged Fds LLC is Hiring a Shift Lead Near Maple, MN
Scheduled to work 12 hour shifts from 7am - 7pm every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday, which is a 2 week pattern of 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off. Only scheduled to work 15 days every month, but with built-in overtime pay! Position Summary: Manages shift employees to attain plant goals. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service. Act as a role model for safety and encourage fellow employees to work in a safe manner in accordance with company policy and procedures. Support training Operators and assistant on the floor. Cleaning and pulling cylinder and rubber rollers in roller rack area. This position will model ConAgra Performance System (CPS.), CAG Audits, Job Safety Analysis and Safety. Food Safety & Quality Responsible for food safety and quality. Shall complete an orientation process, which provides training in Key Concept of Food Safety & Quality. Shall understand that the identification of any failures in these areas is their responsibility. If they identify a deficiency in food safety and or quality, they are responsible for taking corrective action and reporting the issue to their direct supervisor and or the quality manager. The quality manual (QMAN) is available to this employee on the shared Maple Grove drive. Monitor production/warehouse work methods to manage the overall product to meet or exceed all quality and food safety specifications. Position Responsibilities Provide direction and support to shift crews for troubleshooting, schedule training, job set-up; planning/coordinating/communicating all job changes with other departments as needed. Communicating all pertinent information at shift change/shut down/ startup to on coming shift lead. Understanding and support of overall quality issues and goals. Prepare and run required meetings, i.e. DDS, etc. Understand the planned performance levels for the shift. Drives overall shift performance though the implementation of continuous improvement processes and development of a zero loss culture. Schedules staffing levels on the shift, to support the press schedule. Develop and maintain press crew capability through training, coaching and performance feedback. Maintains adherence to employee handbook, GMP’s and other plant policies and procedures. Coaches team in personal accountability, giving and receiving feedback, decision making, interpersonal communications and issuing of corrective counseling’s. Seeks and provides resources for team and provides necessary training that will assist the team in reaching its goals Conducts frequent Safety coaching and leads implementation of safe work practices. Actively reinforces key CPS concepts everyday through coaching and auditing of team members, i.e. 6w2h’s. Provides frequent informal and periodic formal job performance feedback to team. Facilitates and reacts to non-routine and crisis situations. Must be willing and able to work in a culture built around continuous improvement and change. Perform other duties as assigned.
