Salary Range: $99,729-$110,810 annual-will be prorated by FTE
Behavioral Health Consultant-Float * Position is one day a week in Bothell, one day a week in Redmond and additional FTE is Floating*

Position Summary:
Identifies, triages and co-manages patients with medical and behavioral health problems within the primary care setting. Provides skill training through psycho-education and patient education strategies and will develop specific behavioral change plans for patients and behavioral health protocols for target populations. Compensation is dependent on experience.
Your contribution to the team includes:
  • Assist primary health care providers in recognizing and treating mental disorders and psychosocial problems, and behavioral medicine problems. Support substance abuse service expansion by providing treatment, prevention, and awareness of opioid abuse as part of HealthPoint's Suboxone program.
  • Assessment and triage: conduct initial screening visit of 30 minutes or less, evaluate level of functioning, determine risk level, assist with diagnosis and behavioral management of HealthPoint patients.
  • Work with primary care team to treat and manage patients with chronic emotional and/or health problems efficiently and effectively assisting in the development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.
  • Work with primary care provider to refer cases to mental health specialists as appropriate.
  • Evaluate patient care plans with primary care team.
  • Teach patients self-care. Teach families and health center staff techniques for patient care. Teach patients and health center staff techniques for prevention of risks to the well-being of the patient and techniques for treatment enhancement of the patient.
  • Conduct group classes and group visits to promote skill building, education, and improved health for the patient.
  • Contribute to HealthPoint's behavioral health program by identifying problems related to patient services, making recommendations for improvement, and identify linkages to beneficial community resources and external specialty services through a constructive and collaborative approach.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and Quality Improvement activities as required.
  • Respond to patient or co-worker complaints and work toward a positive resolution of any dispute.
  • Serve as a member of site or organizational committees as requested.
  • Participate in evaluation of peers, support staff, and supervisor as required.
  • Provide assistance in the efforts to grow Behavioral Health services in the organization as required.
  • Assist in the evaluation of the behavioral health program: review utilization data; establish outcomes to measure quality of life improvements, and cost effectiveness of population-based programming.
  • Supervise students and/or interns, and contribute to management of the practicum and internship programs as needed.
  • Travel to various locations as needed.
Must have's you'll need to be successful:
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology.
  • Washington licensed/license eligible. A licensed eligible clinician is expected to become licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Washington within one year of hire.
  • Maintain current registration/licensure with Washington State license relevant to individual's degree.
  • Experience in a health care/medical setting is required.
  • Proof of immunizations and/or immunity to: COVID-19, MMR (measles, mumps and rubella), Varicella, Annual Influenza, and TB are required for all employees. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Hepatitis B. and Tdap (within last 10 years) are required. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immunity prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.
