10 BCFS Health and Human Services is Hiring a Program Supervisor Near Harlingen, TX

It's a great feeling to work for a company that does so much good for others around the world! Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a human service field. License eligible is preferred. Experience: Required- Five (5) years’ experience providing direct services to the targeted population is required. At least two (2) years of supervisory experience is required. Experience in home-based services is preferred. Supervises: Parent Educators, Facilitators, and Family Support Specialist. Summary: This position is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality services are provided to the service population especially in crises situations while maintaining compliance with established state and federal standards. To successfully perform this job, the employee may be expected to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990: Essential Functions: 1. Work in conjunction with the Facilitators and Family Support Specialist to plan and implement individual, family, and group counseling services. 2. Help the team understand family dynamics relating to the client and help in planning client services. 3. Provide direct supervision over the Facilitators and Family Specialists on their team. 4. Maintain the continuity and integrity of the records and reporting as required for compliance. 5. Maintain records as required by contractor. 6. Act as a liaison between the BCFS HHS Project HOPES Program and outside agencies, including contractor and community organizations 7. Keeps supervisor updated on status of program. 8. Provides case notes and monthly billing information in a timely manner. 9. Will follow all procedures of the BCFS personnel manual. 10. Work with team to develop and ensure delivery of service plan. 11. Provide training and technical support to Facilitators and Family Specialists. 12. Make recommendations for disciplinary action of employees to the Director. 13. Using stated policies and procedures report child abuse/neglect. 14. Maintains familiarity and knowledge of community resources and uses these appropriately to meet needs of families. 15. Conducts community outreach in educating parents, professionals, and others about program and agency services, and child abuse prevention awareness. 16. Maintain confidential client files for assigned participants. 17. Other job duties as assigned. Measurable Deliverables: 1. Obtains and maintains certification in SafeCare curriculum administration. 2. Document all participant attendance on a weekly basis, and no less than monthly. 3. Review data entry of facilitators for accuracy and timely entry into PEI and Salesforce. 4. Submit monthly and annual reports, or more as is required by supervisor/BCFS. 5. Attend all required trainings and meetings. Credentials, Skills and Abilities: 1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to:  First Aid  CPR  LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-I  Other 2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times. 3. Provide proof or work eligibility status upon request. 4. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check (fingerprints needed if applicant has lived out of state within the past 5 years) 5. Demonstrate the ability to: a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics. b. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and Spanish. c. Work in a fast paced environment. d. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position. e. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team. f. Travel as needed. g. Manage time effectively and efficiently. 6.
