1 Resource Group is Hiring a Shop Mechanic Near Bessemer, AL
1 Resource Group is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic/ Diesel Mechanic for fleet services to join our clients. This is a direct hire position with great benefits. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of vehicles including automobiles, trucks, 18 wheelers, forklifts, and heavy equipment.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational training or formal schooling in auto mechanics is a plus
- Experience with repairs of large trucks, forklifts, and heavy equipment
- Knowledge of diagnostic equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and test vehicles
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records
- Strong understanding of gasoline, diesel, and propane engines
- Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical systems of vehicles
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and powered shop tools
- Adherence to safety procedures and occupational hazards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
