Personal Caregiver

REPORTS TO: HCA Manager

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

● High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.

● Evidence of sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick

● Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions

● Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands

● Good verbal and written communications skills required

● Participates in professional meetings when directed

● Must pass a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered permanent employment with this agency.

● Is able to work while being closely supervised to ensure competence in providing patient care.

● Evidence of being a hard worker without tendencies of laziness.

● CANNOT have had their license as a nurse or CNA suspended or revoked or their application for such license or certification denied.

● CANNOT represent themselves as a CNA, LPN, RN, NP, or anything but a caregiver

● Must be 18 unless waived by the State.

POSITION SUMMARY AND DUTIES:

The Personal Caregiver works under the supervision of the HCA Manager on the non-skilled sector of operations and provides direct patient care, as assigned by the registered nurse during the care plan and approved by the HCA Manager.

POSITION TRAINING & ORIENTATION:

All orientation will be performed by the HCA Manager.

● Initial orientation or training shall be required

● All training will be documented.

• On-line / self-study training is available and must be completed before starting.

● Prior to assignment, the HCA Manager shall conduct a proof of competency evaluation.

POSITION REPORTING & CHARTING:

All charting will be completed in the patient’s home utilizing the intuitive charting system allows you to complete the required charting from your mobile device.

• Charting must be completed at the end of each visit
• Charting must be clear and concise per the HCA Manager’s discretion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
