Our company, 1-800-Striper, is the leading provider of parking lot striping throughout NY and beyond, with over 20 years of experience in the industry, and we are now bringing it to central Florida!

We are looking for a capable and highly motivated individual to oversee our line striping crew and operations, ensuring adherence to the utmost standards of quality and precision. This role offers plenty of opportunities to grow and fill in bigger shoes as the company grows.

The Crew Leader operates a variety of equipment used in the application and maintenance of parking lots and other large site jobs. The right candidate will have full responsibly for crew productivity and be a primary equipment operator and driver of one our medium duty box trucks. This position is a full-time position with ample opportunity for overtime throughout the season. Flexible schedule but must be available nights and weekends. Must be a team player, have attention to detail, and have a positive attitude. Commercial Driver or Equipment Operator experience is desirable, a clean driver’s license is mandatory. References required.

*Note - our warehouse is in Lakeland, FL and most of the work will be done in the central Florida area. If you are not willing to relocate or make the commute, please do not apply.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a crew in the painting and striping of parking lots, courts, warehouses, and other designated areas.
• Must be familiar with reading blueprints, using tape measures, and snapping chalk lines.
• Supervise, train, and motivate crew members to ensure efficient and accurate execution of striping projects.
• Operate a box truck safely and responsibly, transporting crew, equipment, and materials to job sites.
• Assist crew members in performing striping tasks, including layout, preparation, and application of lines.
• Maintain, inspect, and be able to troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper functionality and address any maintenance or repair needs.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met.
• Be available for day and night jobs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications a plus.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising and training a crew.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to safely drive a 16' box truck

Knowledge of striping equipment and materials, as well as proper application techniques is not required, but preferred.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent in English.
• Ability to work evening and night shifts as specified, including weekends and overtime during peak seasons.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a construction or similar setting.

Compensation range: $18 to $23 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Any working hours accrued over 40 hours in a week will be paid at time and a half.

Other Details including Schedule:

• Typical work schedule of Sunday through Saturday, 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. However, must be available to work days, too.
