KERATO is Hiring a Medical Front Desk Receptionist Near New York, NY

Job Summary:
KERATO is a revolutionary eye color change practice located in NYC.

We are looking for a bilingual employee with fluent Spanish and English, who will work as a front desk receptionist and client manager in the medical cosmetic practice. Fluent Spanish is a must.

Full time:
Monday 10 am - 5 pm;
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9 am - 5 pm
Wednesday 10 am - 6 pm

(!)Important

For the first 6 to 9 months there will be 2 different office locations where you will work, depending on the day of the week:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - New Jersey (596 Anderson Avenue Ste 101, Cliffside Park, NJ 07010

Tuesday, Thursday - Manhattan Surgical Center (160 East 56th Street, New York, NY 10022)

This happens because the consultations for the practice are performed in NJ, while the Surgical Center is located in Manhattan. By the end of the year, we expect to move the office completely to the newly renovated office in Manhattan (same address as the surgical center), 5 days a week. If you live in NJ some of our staff can pick you up for Manhattan commute.

In addition to meeting clients, we expect the employee to support our call center by answering practice-specific questions in Spanish. The employee will also lead Spanish speaking clients via email.

There will be a 2-month trial with the training.

Salary: $17-23 depending on skills and experience. Bonus system to be discussed during the interview

Experience: 1-2 years in a similar field

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer Spanish-speaking phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Upon request assist staff members with English <=> Spanish translation when a client needs help understanding English.
- Schedule patient appointments using the office's scheduling system
- Verify patient information
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as required
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails, with an emphasis on Spanish-speaking correspondence
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus
- Previous experience working as a receptionist in a medical office preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology or desire and capability to learn it. We will provide all necessary education.
- Proficiency in using office software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Politeness, friendliness, tidiness
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
