The primary role of the Facilities Manager is to manage the upkeep

of the facility, grounds, building services and fleet.

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Manages all contracts for support services related to the building and grounds, routinely soliciting competitive bids.
• Oversees the physical structure of the facility to include HVAC systems, water, roof, fire protection, elevator, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as utilities and grounds to ensure safe operations.
• Performs required building related preventative maintenance service and any required annual certifications on building systems.
• Performs light repairs to the building or building systems. Generates work orders to the maintenance department for larger repairs.
• Oversees and manages the janitorial staff to ensure the facility and grounds are maintained to industry standards.
• Maintains the fleet of forklifts and the company trucks.
• Supports the maintenance department when needed.
• Works closely with QC to ensure the facility conforms to regulatory standards, including FDA, OSHA, GMPs, HAACPs and SQF.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma

• Minimum of five years of experience in facilities management
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to develop and execute processes and procedures to support organizational goals
• Ability to lead, motivate and direct employees to get results
• Prior management in a food processing plant preferred
