Gary United Methodist Preschool is a small Christian preschool in Wheaton, Illinois. We are hiring for the September 2024-May 2025 school year.

We are seeking a dynamic and qualified Preschool Director to lead our preschool, overseeing program implementation and daily operations. As the Preschool Director, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
Hours would be, approximately, 8:30 am-12:00 pm Monday - Friday. Classes run September - May with fewer hours needed in the summer. We closely follow District 200's calendar. Position is salaried at $16800 for the school year, payable over the 9 month period. The director is also able to take on teaching responsibilities for further career development and compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement educational programs that align with state regulations and promote the cognitive, social, and emotional development of two-year-olds and preschoolers.
- Manage the preschool budget effectively, including tuition collection, expenses, and financial planning.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teaching staff to maintain high-quality instruction.
- Collaborate with parents to support children's learning and address any concerns or feedback.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, health, and safety standards within the preschool facility.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives to enhance the overall quality of the preschool program and to better serve the needs of the community.
Experience:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Care or related field.
- Proven experience in managing an educational institution or preschool setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff towards achieving educational goals.
- Proficient in budgeting, strategic planning, and curriculum development.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with parents, staff, and community stakeholders.
Candidates must meet DCFS requirements. Further requirements are listed in Section 407.130 of DCFS regulations.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
