The Growing Justice Fund seeks a self-starter, collaborative, proactive and strategic Operations Manager to join its team.
The Operations Manager will be critical in overseeing and managing the operations function and supporting the Advisory Committee in executing the fund’s mission. Reporting directly to the Chair of the Advisory Committee, the Operations Manager will be responsible for creating and managing operational processes, planning, implementing, and executing a wide range of initiatives that align with the board’s strategic goals and objectives. The individual must be a big-picture thinker, planner, and self-starter with strong project management, technology, process development, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will also possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
This is a remote, US-based position, with the ability to travel occasionally to Washington, DC, ideally based in Washington DC, and requires a highly organized and self-disciplined individual who can effectively work with agility and focus within a start-up environment. Available to travel domestically to site visits with grantees between 2-4 times a year.

Growing Justice envisions a future in which Tribal, Indigenous, Black, Latinx, Asian, and immigrant people engaged in food markets as suppliers, producers, distributors, workers, and eaters at community-serving institutions are economically and physically thriving thanks in part to efforts by large community institutions to prioritize equitable good food procurement.
