THE ROLE
Core to the CHOOOSE platform and our partner programs is the management and transaction of offsetting and insetting solutions. This work includes the procurement, inventory management, and transaction of carbon units from offsetting and insetting solutions as well as external communications on and partner collaboration around such solutions.
This position plays a critical role in supporting and scaling CHOOOSE's external communications on and collaboration around insetting and offsetting options. The position reports directly to CHOOOSE's VP of Climate Solutions. The individual in this position will be responsible for how CHOOOSE communicates about the many different low carbon solutions we work with - in partner conversations, within CHOOOSE digital tools, and beyond - and ensuring this communication is always aligned with the latest relevant policies and market best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Content [research, writing, & content governance]: Take ownership of the technical content describing and presenting the diverse insetting and offsetting solutions CHOOOSE works with. Work with CHOOOSE Product and Marketing teams to ensure this content is correctly syndicated and maintained across the CHOOOSE platform.
• Partner Communications & Project Selection Support [external communications]: Enable CHOOOSE partners in the selection of insetting and offsetting solutions through high quality content. Collaborate across the CHOOOSE Carbon Team in the end-to-end management of formulating and executing on solution portfolios based on partner requirements.
• Analysis of voluntary and compliance carbon markets [research & internal collaboration]: Stay up to date regarding the latest in the rapidly evolving carbon markets as well as corporate best practices around carbon offsetting and insetting. This includes maintaining working knowledge of relevant policies and compliance requirements. Collaborate closely with CHOOOSE's Carbon, Product, and Product Marketing teams to operationalize the latest insights - informing the software CHOOOSE builds in this evolving landscape.

ABOUT YOU

• Strong research and writing skills. You are adept at and enjoy research and analysis. And you make this work product actionable with a knack for simplifying complex content in clear, polished written communications.
• Aptitude for customer-facing communications. You have strong verbal communications, are comfortable presenting externally, and are driven to understand and manage customer requirements and requests.
• Detail orientation, organization, collaboration. You are able to manage highly independent, complex projects and to keep various workstreams on track. You sweat the small stuff (grammar, punctuation). You follow through on everything.
• Content expertise. You have 2-3 years of academic and / or professional experience in carbon markets or corporate sustainability. Alternatively, you have a proven track record of developing content expertise rapidly and independently in complex domains.
• Geography : CHOOOSE has a strong preference for applicants based in the Eastern Time (ET) zone. However, we are open to candidates located elsewhere if they are an exceptional fit for the role.
