Job Summary

The Engineering Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, the overall hotel engineering staff and functions, including the day to day operations of the mechanical and electrical plant and distribution, elevator functions, fire, life, health and safety systems, staff performance and asset management.

Job Duties /Tasks / Results/ Responsibilities

• Support Director of Engineering in maintaining the operations of the property.
• Provide direction and supervision to staff by coordinating work assignments for engineers and follow up on the completion of such.
• Responsible for administering and the accuracy of payroll.
• Responsible for the training, coaching and counseling of the staff.
• Responsible for maintaining proper files and blueprints.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of administrative and or managerial background
• Must possess excellent knowledge of major building systems
• Required licenses include EPA and HVAC
• Must have strong Guest service skills
• Must possess excellent knowledge of major building systems
• Must possess excellent knowledge of energy management.
• Must possess the ability to conduct training of basic engineering systems.
• Must possess the ability to coordinate with multiple tasks.
• Must possess the ability to develop a financial budget.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Physical Demands /Requirement

Most of the time spent standing, walking or there are some requirement to lift moderate weight (10-20 pounds) Work Environment/ Conditions
