The Samaritan Behavioral Center is an accredited psychiatric hospital providing high levels of psychiatric care to adult patients and is committed to person focused care. We are looking for an Admissions Coordinator to assist in the process of patient admissions to our Detroit, Michigan hospital, Samaritan Behavioral Center, located in the Samaritan Center.

Qualifications:

·High School Diploma or equivalent

·1-2 years experience in a health care setting

·Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing

The Admitting Coordinator is responsible for signing in patients at the time of their admission to the hospital. In addition, admitting staff verifies patients’ information, including their insurance information in conjunction with Billing and Utilization Review, and ensures that the patients receive their admission packet and sign all necessary forms. Admitting staff also address any questions or concerns that patients may have about the admission packet.

This is a full-time, hybrid position, with office time located in Detroit, Michigan.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
