Our Consultants are responsible for traveling to scheduled appointments to inform potential customers about the benefits of renewable energy solutions. We value strong communicators for this role who have a track record in closing sales with high conversion percentages. We will provide the necessary leads, training, and tools to ensure success at your position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Traveling to potential customer homes to present our cost and energy-saving solar systems
  • Manage an organized calendar and attend scheduled appointments set by Skyline Solar
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, contracts, or presentations for potential solar customers
  • Close sales and achieve monthly sales targets
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Attend 2-3 weekly sales training sessions

Qualifications

  • Must be able to meet with customers at times that work best with their schedules. Working nights and Saturday's will be a must
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude in all situations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • Must be outcome-oriented. Previous sales work experience of hitting or exceeding targets and examples of providing excellent customer service will be key indicators of success.
  • 3 years of sales is required
  • Door-to-door sales experience is a plus (solar or smart home is preferred)
  • Have a vehicle and cell phone for smooth communication and transportation to assigned areas

Example of a typical week in the life of a Solar Sales Consultant:

  • Meetings/Training
    • Monday & Thursday: 1pm - 2pm
  • Field Work (In an assigned territory)*
    • Monday - Friday: 2pm - 8pm
    • Saturday: 9am - 3pm
    • *Hours may vary depending on availability of homeowners
