POSITION: CWF Program Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Housing Programs and Services
STATUS: Full Time - Salary

OVERVIEW: CWF Program Manager will supervise and work closely with their team towards achieving the program goals of engaging, assessing, enrolling, and navigating individuals and families experiencing homelessness from the streets to permanent housing with needed support.

The Program Manager is an integral member of the Coalition Team and works collaboratively with providers, housing programs and representatives of other agencies in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Candidates must possess an Associate’s Degree or equivalent number of college credits in a social services field. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Degrees from other disciplines will be accepted given the candidate provides evidence of prior experience that would allow them to competently perform the primary duties listed below.

· Individuals that have been working in the field, but do not possess a degree will be considered if they have five or more years of documented social service experience.

· Homeless services, case management, mental health, permanent supportive housing and rapid rehousing experience preferred.

· Commitment and ability to engage in an empathetic, non-judgmental way with people in stressful situations; to establish rapport in order to help resolve homeless households immediate housing crisis.

· Must be proficient in written and verbal communication.

· The ability to effectively serve a very diverse population with aptitude in the areas of conflict resolution, critical thinking and problem solving.

· Cultural competence across all populations.

· Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish) and veterans are encouraged to apply.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

· Oversee Grants and Program Compliance.

· Provide coaching, hiring, disciplinary actions including employment termination in coordination with Human Resources and Director of Housing Programs.

· Ensure all guests seeking services, via telephone, outreach initiatives and referrals complete triage process.

· Ensure all required statistical and financial reports are accurate and submitted on time.

· Ensure that appropriate permanent housing options for families such as bridge housing in hotel/motel, subsidized housing, Section 8, as well as affordable and market rate housing and other housing opportunities are offered.

· Respond to community requests for outreach interventions.

· Other Duties as assigned by the Director of Housing Programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment, and effectively handling short notice requests and constant changes.

· Ability to solve problems, make decisions and resolve conflicts.

· A passion for connecting with people experiencing homelessness who are maybe “service resistant” is required.

· Must be flexible, innovative, and adept at creative problem-solving.

· Experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
