Job Title: Paint Line Lead

Classification: Hourly/nonexempt

Reports to: Shift Supervisor/Manufacturing Manager

Summary

The Paint Line Lead oversees the paint line production team. The Paint Line Lead is responsible for: maintaining a steady production speed, assisting with color changes and powder coating in the paint booth as needed, communicating with supervisor and manager daily, assisting team members to efficiently hang parts/remove parts from the line, and is knowledgeable of company quality standards for different customers.

Primary Functions

• Able to stand 10-12 hours a day
• Ability to lift 15 – 50 lbs. continuously.
• Maintain a good working pace on the paint line.
• Assist with color changes.
• Able to Powder Coat if necessary.
• Understand clocking production in the company’s ERP system, as well as quality processes.
• Prepare completed parts for the shipping department.
• Able to follow a schedule and setup team to assist with completing the schedule as efficiently as possible.
• Promote teamwork and a positive, healthy culture.
• Able to communicate efficiently.
• Attend forklift certification class through Sargent Metal.
• Comfortable following and giving verbal and written directions.
• Comfortable giving positive and occasional negative feedback to team members.
• Able to promote and stand by the company’s purpose statement and core values.

Qualifications

· 5 years minimum manufacturing experience.

· Previous Powder Coating experience is required.

· Previous leadership experience is required.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
