We are searching for a Plumbing Designer in our Indianapolis Studio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Engineer
    • Assists in client engagement.
    • Attends client, consultant, and design committee meetings.
    • Communicates and improves design processes with other team members.
    • May manage small teams and assist other project team members in the development and maintenance of workplans.
  • Develop quality project documents
    • Leads in planning, design and documentation of projects. Prepares working drawings.
    • Participates in all design and construction phases of projects.
    • Presents design to client and coordinates with other disciplines and consultants.
    • Mentor other Designers. Provide training and leadership through project work to empower, train and develop designers.
    • Participates in project debriefs and lesson’s learned sessions.
    • Recommend alterations to design to improve quality.
  • Meet deadlines and manage personal utilization within project budgets
    • May own small projects in entirety and/or significant portions of larger projects related to project delivery.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pursue certification and/or license (if on a licensure track)
  • Support systems commissioning activities, including site visits and functional testing - development and execution.
  • Provide mentoring to other staff members as directed.
  • Promote company reputation through good client relations.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

  • Design: Generates creative solutions; translates concepts and information into images; collaborate with others to modify design; applies design principles
  • Effective communication skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret information.
  • Leadership Skills: Able to assume a role of authority, as necessary; sets an example for coworkers; delegates responsibility and empowers associates to make decisions and take personal accountability for decisions.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail: Able to perform work and job function with precision and accuracy; carefully monitors processes; concentrates on details, organizes and maintains a system of records.
  • Code and Mathematical knowledge required: Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local building codes and safety laws. Work requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand “abstract” principles behind math and physics
  • Ownership Mentality: Possesses a sense of ownership in all deliverables. Utilizes knowledge and opportunity to continually strive for excellence within an empowering culture. Collaborates and supports fellow employee owners in ongoing improvements. Understands personal accountability within their role in the company.
  • Computer skills required: Revit; Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Google: Mail, Calendar, Drive, Apps

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Design related technical degree, Bachelors or Professional degree in or applicable field.
  • 3-12 years of applicable experience
    • Experience within healing, learning and/or discovery market sectors preferred
