Description

The In-service Director is responsible for developing comprehensive in-service training programs for all personnel and works with the Coordinator for nurse aides’ classes. The specially designed programs will improve skills, boost morale and duties. To serve as employee advocate and collaborate with department heads to ensure the highest quality of resident care.

? To assist in maintaining an internal quality assurance system

? To evaluate all incidents, evaluate and conduct in-services, as needed

? To oversee the scheduling of the nursing staff for all shifts in the nursing department according to administrative requirements

Requirements

 Education/Experience: A licensed nurse with one year of supervisory, in-service, or personnel experience; Possess teaching techniques and people skills, experience or training in teaching techniques and people skills, experience or training in teaching techniques in a skilled nursing facility or hospital; Knowledge of labor relations, economics, public health legislation; Evidence of skills in leadership, creativity, integrity, initiative and communication skills.
