Landscapes Golf Management and Coyote Crossing Golf Club are seeking a Bar Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team! Must be 21 by the time of hire.

Coyote Crossing Golf Club is a semi-private, award winning, Hale Irwin designed golf course located just off I-65 in West Lafayette, Indiana. Our beautiful bent grass, parkland-style course features multiple creek crossings that lead you through wildlife in native prairies, wetlands, and forests while challenging every club in your bag. Our player-friendly, relaxed club experience includes premium carts, a large practice area, and a restaurant with a full bar inside our scenic clubhouse, all of which are certain to provide a memorable round.

JOB SUMMARY

Oversees bar staff and attends to the service needs of club patrons in the bar area including food and beverage service. Maintains the stock and cleanliness of the bar area.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Oversees bar staff and servers assists with scheduling, training, assigning, and directing work, provides support when dealing with difficult customers.
  2. Ensures all Local and Federal alcohol and tobacco laws are adhered to.
  3. Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to bar patrons. Utilizes drink measures and proper pours. Collects payment for beverages served and accurately records transaction.
  4. Takes food orders, records food orders into register system and delivers orders to bar patrons.
  5. Maintains the stock in the bar and the cleanliness of the area. Arranges bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
  6. Cleans glasses, utensils and bar equipment per company guidelines and health department requirements.
  7. Communicates low stock items to the food and beverage manager as appropriate.
  8. Performs routine bar maintenance and arranges for repair of equipment if necessary through company management.
  9. Performs closing and duty lists as needed.
  10. Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessing drinking by following company procedures.
  11. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
  12. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
  13. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Working knowledge and understanding of local and federal alcohol and tobacco laws
  2. Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
  3. Must have the ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
  4. Good oral communication skills.
  5. Ability to calculate and complete liquid measurements.
  6. Ability to do simple math, count change accurately and operate a POS system.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIANCE

  1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  2. High school diploma or GED required
  3. Previous experience with bar operations, supervising and processes.
  4. Certified Food Handler (rserving.com or local certification)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 25-75%
  • Standing and walking 25-100%
  • Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling 24-50%
  • Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, and writing 0-24%
  • Lift in excess of 25 pounds 0-24%
