The AWS Sustainability Team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented Business Analyst to lead the operation of its products. The AWS Infrastructure Sustainability Tech organization builds solutions to integrate environmental sustainability data across AWS infrastructure and operations to support AWS progress towards Amazon’s net zero carbon goal. The AWS Sustainability Tech Business Analyst will design, gather data, and develop metrics and reports that address AWS customer needs. This role will directly impact the product feature roadmap of the AWS Customer Carbon Footprint Tool. The candidate will work collaboratively with stakeholders from across AWS Infrastructure teams to develop reporting solutions to complex customer and business problems.
The ideal candidate has superior analytical and technical abilities, business acumen, and written and verbal communication skills. Data-driven decision-making is at the core of Amazon’s culture. The ideal candidate has expertise mining large and diverse data sets, data visualization, writing complex SQL queries, and generating insights that enable product strategy decisions. They have built trusting relationships with business partners and launched new data analytics from the ground up. They can clearly explain the business impact of their findings and have a passion for the energy and sustainability space.
Key job responsibilities
  • Build data analytics to continuously enhance AWS Sustainability Tech products
  • Deep dive complex customer inquiries and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience
  • Develop reporting solutions which distill complex data into actionable insights to drive product strategy
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to support the launch of new product features that will yield benefits to Amazon customers
  • Provide visibility into product development status on an ongoing basis to stakeholders and leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
