Seeking Experienced Barista (PREFERRED).

We are looking for an experienced Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have experience as a barista and customer service skills. You should be able to work various shifts. We are looking for baristas that can work the weekends. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests. [ Please note : this position entails tips on top of an hourly wage. ]

• Greet customers as they enter in a friendly attentive manner and take food and drink orders
• Give customers insight about our drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients used
• Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
• Prepare beverages following recipes
• Serve beverages and prepared food, like pastries and / or smoothies
• Receive and process payments on register (cash and credit cards)
• Keep the espresso bar area clean
• Maintain stock of coffee bar
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers
• Keeping all work areas and customer seating environments sanitary and organized
• We have 2 shifts : Opener and Closer. We open weekdays 6:30am - 4pm and on weekends 7:30am - 5pm. Openers arrive 1/2 and hour early to set up and closers stay 1 hour to clean and close register.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 30 per week
