JOB TITLE: Event Manager

FLSA Classification: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Events

REPORTS TO: Director of Events & Catering

PURPOSE

The Event Manager is responsible for assisting with the overall planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of events. This professional is responsible for the management of on-site logistics, following up on inquiries, collaborating with the Director of Events & Catering, the marketing department, Front of House and Back of House management teams to effectively plan and prepare for events. The Event Manager also assists in the training and management of on-site staff and is a brand ambassador who represents the company in person, through email, and over the phone.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contacting, booking, and following up with all guest inquiries to include large party bookings, partial buyouts, full buyouts, and offsite catering special projects.
  • Communicates with event host to create/design and build out menus (pre-fixe, special menus, beverage menus, etc.).
  • Confirms all details of events and enters all event information into Triple Seat to create BEOs and Contracts for each event.
  • Communicates event details with FOH and BOH management per store location and maintains clear and consistent lines of communication from start to finish.
  • Frequently onsite to oversee set up, pre-shift, and greeting the event host.
  • Assists in training and management of on-site event staff to ensure every aspect of a guest’s

experience is exceptional.

  • Assist in the management of relationships with vendors.
  • Maintains, organizes, orders catering, and décor items used for events.
  • Learns and understands pricing models per store to provide accurate and profitable event pricing.
  • Assists with creating and maintaining event budgets.
  • Lead coordination efforts with internal departments regarding special events including specifics and details.
  • Provides weekly reporting and updates to Director of Events & Catering.
  • Completes post-event follow-ups and evaluations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize and follow through with great attention to detail on

multiple, simultaneous projects.

  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, service standards, and customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Professionalism in handling difficult situations and ability to respond to requests in a timely

manner.

  • Ability to systematically assess a problem or situation to accurately identify probable causes and solutions and make decisions using sound judgement and experience.
  • Outstanding customer service-oriented approach.
  • Must have a discerning eye for quality, exercise good judgement in making selections that are on-brand and have experience interfacing with executive leaders and distinguished guests.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe creative programs.
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Clearly communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Bring creative ideas to build sales and overall brand improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2 years’ experience in the full-service, high-volume restaurant/hospitality industry as an Event Coordinator or Event Planner.
  • Experience with high-caliber, high-visibility events preferred.
  • Triple Seat experience is a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel and work nights and weekends, based on events schedule.

Work Environment: Job is typically performed in a general office or restaurant environment or remotely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
